Sixers Lose To The Knicks In Philly And, Yet Again, The Season Ends Before The Eastern Conference Finals

Welp. At least it was in the first round this year? Rather take a bullet to the head than 3 to the stomach and possibly have hope. But that's just me at my washed up age. Props to Joel Embiid and Maxey for fighting the ultimate fight. Props to Buddy Hield for putting up 17 in the 2nd quarter (then of course not playing a min in the 3rd). Props to Tobias Harris for putting up zero, I repeat - ZERO - points in his last game as a Sixers. Actually poetic. 29% of the Sixers salary cap and 0 points. Smell ya later, Tobi.

It is what it is. I've said it a zillion times and I'll say it again: Even if the Sixers won this bitch in 7 there's essentially no way they'd be able to take it all down, let alone the East. Other than the bullshit Game 2 fiasco, the Sixers needed a 46 point performance from Maxey and a JoJo 50 Burger to win their two victories. And that's with Embiid is playing on one leg with one eye and a migrane. Battle fatigue would be the real deal.

See ya next season when the 2024-2025 Philadelphia 76ers Startling Lineup shall be:

PG: Tyrese Maxey

SG: LeBron James

SF: Paul George

PF: Pascal Siakam

C: Joel Embiid

Do it, Daryl. Do it hard. Cue it.
