Marketing 101: Ryan Reynolds And Rob McElhenney Have A Foolproof Plan To Get Taylor Swift To Wrexham, Embracing The Hollywood FC Title

Say what you want, but there's no soccer club in the world who isn't in the top tier that draws headlines like Wrexham. Not even headlines, people feel a certain way about Wrexham. They are dubbed Hollywood FC, for obvious reasons. Now it's time for Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney to fully lean into that and even go as far as be the villain. They got promoted again, they are moving up to the third tier. They'll be talked about more and more. So how do you lean into it?

You want people fired up one way or another? You get Taylor Swift in the owners box. You get Travis Kelce and Taylor there together and you're the front page of every single media company in the world. It's a foolproof plan. Forget the fact that, you know, Ryan Reynolds' wife (may have heard of her) and Taylor are best friends.

Get the Kelce's, get Taylor. It's a foolproof plan to bring someone to Wales. In fact I'm now cheering for it strictly because I know how much it will piss people off. Reynolds and Mac should do this every single match. Get as many celebrities over there as possible and lean into the whole Hollywood FC image. Make a mockery of it. You own the team! That's the dream. If you're rich and own a team, you should have whoever you want in that owners box with you.

This is genius marketing. You got a new season of Welcome to Wrexham coming out, start teasing it by talking about bringing in Taylor Swift next year. You already sold the next season of Welcome to Wrexham if that happens. It's a perfect plan and even saying Queen Bee will probably piss off Beyonce fans. Ryan Reynolds is a marketing genius.
