The Dodgers and Diamondbacks Had an Hour and a Half Delay Due to a Massive Swarm of Bees Behind Home Plate

Fuckin' bees, man. There aren't many things I hate more than bees. The tree huggers try to extol the virtues of bees all the time and hype them up because they fuck flowers or something, but I'm not buying it. They're annoying at best and will roll up on you with a gang ready to fuck your shit up at worst.

And if I drove 45 minutes to the ballpark, paid $30 for parking and $20 for a beer and the game was delayed an hour and a half because a swarm of bees decided they needed to take up residence right behind home plate at Chase Field, my crusade against these little fuckers would be even more extreme. They live to irritate.

Honestly, I'm kind of surprised things like this don't happen more often. Every time I see a wayward bird in the outfield or a swarm of bees, it does make me stop and wonder why there aren't more of these incidents in outdoor ballparks. Is there some sort of special repellant the government and MLB are hiding from the rest of us? If so, the Diamondbacks must still be waiting on their shipment for the season — like half the teams in baseball are still waiting on at least one of their jerseys from Fanatics.

It seems the issue has been resolved and the game will begin at 8:35 local time. I hope that means the bees are dead.

UPDATE: The hero who allowed tonight's game to take place threw out the first pitch. Well done, sir.
