It Hurts To Hear The Browns 1st Round Draft Pick, Mike Hall, Say He Grew Up A Browns Fan Cheering For Johnny Manziel And Trent Richardson

Not only does that make me feel old, it also makes my liver hurt. Johnny Manziel and Trent Richardson??? Maybe not the best Cleveland combo, but what else could you ask for on a mid-March Sunday night in the Alliance of American Football League?

Don't get me wrong though: those are two players I grew up cheering for as well. We all did, didn't we? And I would say it's safe to declare that these two made me drink more than any Cleveland Browns players in the history of the organization. Partially because their (very short) times with the team directly correlated to my drinking prime, but also partially because of their fucking careers. Don't blink, these two's career stats in Cleveland will come and go fast….

Johnny Manziel:

2014: 5 games played, 175 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT, QBR of 7.8

2015: 9 games played, 1500 yards, 7 TD, 5 INT, QBR of 58.6

Trent Richardson:

2012: 15 games played, 267 carries for 950 yards, 11 TD, 3 fumbles

2013: 2 games played, 31 carries for 105 yards, 0 TD

How is that even possible? How quickly did Johnny have to crash and burn for a 1st round QB to only get 14 total games played? It truly is astonishing how awful of picks these both were. Trent went 3rd overall and was traded in one year, and Johnny went 22nd overall only to be CUT within two years. And while at least we got a 1st rounder out of the Richardson trade, let's not forget that it got us a 1st rounder that turned into……JOHNNY!

What a joke of a franchise this has been. And what really makes it hit home is that we've got a lifelong Browns fan getting drafted by the hometown franchise, and the names he drops in the press conference are Johnny Manziel and Trent Richardson. Yikes.
