Credit Villanova Basketball's Twitter Account For Recognizing Greatness While Making Every Philly Crybaby Lose Their Damn Mind

Gotta hand it to Villanova twitter for the best tweet of the night. I mean it's a smart move. Always be recruiting and nothing says recruiting like recognizing your former players in the biggest NBA game of the night. Surely these are the only three former players who played in this game. I can't think of a 4th.

But what really makes this twee are all the Philly scumbags crying their eyes out that Villanova dared to say something about their former players. Let's look at some of the beauties here.

First off, no shit Temple/St. Joe's wouldn't do this. They don't have players out there making a difference in the NBA. Second, this is peak Philly crying. Nova has NO ties to the 76ers. In fact they should have the 76ers for what they did to Mikal Bridges, good thing Zhaire Smith worked out. You think Nova basketball gives a shit that the 76ers lost? Of course not. They care that Josh Hart looked like the best player on the floor. They care that Donte hit the game-winner. They care that Jalen Brunson is an All-NBA player. They only care about Villanova basketball just like everyone else in the country.

I don't know man, if I was in Philly I'd want to claim Villanova. They are the only basketball team in 40 years to hang a banner in Wells Fargo. They have been the only team in the area to win anything in basketball. But go ahead and claim they aren't Philly and then cry like babies when they recognize greatness. I'm sure Philly will embrace Temple, St. Joe's, Drexel, Penn and La Salle. That's how you win in college basketball!

At least a real champion understands it.

Bang.
