Cormani McClain, The 5-Star DB That Is Transferring Out Of Colorado, Says He Wants To Play For A Real Program And Not For Clicks

So Cormani McClain was a 5-star recruit out of Florida, ranked the #1 corner in the country and the 13th best player in his entire class. Naturally, with Coach Prime being the best DB to ever play the game, Cormani chose to ride the Colorado hype train, choosing the Buffaloes over both Florida and Miami. Now he is transferring out, taking a pretty big shot at Coach Prime as he departs Boulder with a "I just don't want to play for clicks line".

A couple things:

- Making a video on social media saying that you're interested in playing in a program that isn't just about clicks is a nice little bit of irony.

- He played in 9 games. He had 13 tackles on the season. I would have to imagine that if he were a full-time starter, getting everything he wanted, that the "clicks culture" would be just fine for him. Because if you recall, Cormani is the player that Coach Prime talked about last season when asked why such a highly recruited player wasn't playing, and he said "Study. Prepare. Show up on time to meetings. Show up the damn meetings".

Look I have no reason to believe that Coach Prime would flat out lie about a kid like that, so I'm going to take what he said as the truth. By no means am I a Colorado fan, and I think the program is going to end up being a one half year wonder, but for Deion to say that about Cormani....and then Cormani to transfer and say he doesn't want to play for clicks....seems like he's more mad at his own personal situation than the actual culture of the program.

And the question must be asked: what would Cormani's line for transferring have been if Dan Lanning didn't give him the ammo in his pregame speech last year?

Seems like a little bit of plagiarism, if you ask me.

Prediction: Cormani seems like a Miami guy.
