The WrestleMania Main Event Took Us On A Wild Rollercoaster Of Emotions

As I'm sure you all saw by now, WrestleMania 40 ended in pretty epic fashion on Sunday night.

Call it the WWE's 'Avengers Endgame' moment, or call it their 'Return of the Jedi' - it was a phenomenal conclusion to stories that have latest years, and featured a plethora of cameos from the past, each one better than the last.

It all started with interference from Jimmy Uso, who was fended off by Jey with an INSANE spear of the ramp....

Then came Solo Sikoa (of course) to help Reigns, followed by John Cena - who Sikoa took out of action months ago....

….and then came "The Final Boss" of the WWE, The Rock, to face off with (and Rock Bottom) John Cena for the first time in 11 years….

Seth Rollins in Shield gear was next, and he got no offense in, but would later serve as the perfect distraction for Cody Rhodes to defeat Roman Reigns….

….followed by The Undertaker to even the playing field once and for all for Cody….

I think a lot of us expected Stone Cold Steve Austin in The Undertaker's spot, but thankfully, they brought in the only other guy who wouldn't make us feel disappointed when it wasn't Austin. Plus, Taker's got a history with Heyman/Reigns/The Bloodline….

He showed up like some kinda dead Equalizer and it was truly the least expected thing that could've happened in that moment, making for an ALL TIME pop for the DONG. It made me wish the final years of his career were spent in moments like this instead of bad afternoon matches in Saudi Arabia.

Speaking of Saudi, my older brother texted me and brought up a decent point this weekend - Taker can toss the gimmick on to hand out a soccer trophy but shows up to WrestleMania in a beanie/hoodie combo?

What's up with that? Is "The Deadman" kayfabe dead in the WWE or something? How can the Deadman die if he's already dead? Ah, whatever. I'm already overthinking it. It really wasn't important, and didn't take away from the moment….but kinda strange! Anyway, I digress.

Cody then hit Reigns with three consecutive Cross Rhodes' for the finish, and all was right in the world….

Finally - he finished the story. One of the best parts of the victory was ring announcer Samantha Irvin's call, which she could barely get through without breaking down….

No matter what you say about wrestling - that's real passion and emotion right there, and that's what wrestling fans want to see out of the performers more than anything else. It's fucking awesome. Even Michael Buffer appreciated it…..

Our reaction video is at the top of this blog, so if you're curious, you can watch the full journey the main event took us on now. It looks a whole lot like this for most of it….
