NOBODY Wants To Face This Sixers Team If Joel Embiid Is Healthy And Tyrese Maxey Is Slinging
Biggest game of the 2023-2024 season. Heading into the evening, the 8-seeded Sixers were nipping at the heels of the 6-seeded Heat. After going 14-27 without the MVP this year, it's safe to say the Sixers had to prove some shit in Miami. They needed to be who we think they can be with Embiid back on the court. So how'd they show up?
Joel Hans Embiid: 33 min, 29 points.
TYRESE KENDRID MAD FUCKING MAXEY: 41 min, 37 points with 11 assists, 9 reb, and a +26(!!!).
Kelly Oubre added a delightful 18 in the hoop. The next highest contributor for buckets? Kyle Lowry with an 8 piece. Yeah, it's safe to say the Sixers (without Tobias Harris, mind you…which might have been an OK thing) are officially dangerous as a lower seed. NOBODY is going to want to face off against these warriors when the playoffs start. Celtics included (even tho the C's are objectively a better team and have shit on the chest of the Sixers franchise for well over a decade so we gotta earn it before talking smack). I mean, shit. The reigning MVP is back healthy with a new, game changing All-Star young buck who just threw up almost 40 in the most important game of the season. This Sixers team has the opportunity to slay and slay hard.
And back speaking of Kelly Oubre, the man is continuing to ensure he never has to sign a contract for the Vet minimum again. FLEX ON 'EM SIR:
30-7 with Joel Embiid on the season, btw. The Sixers are currently still in the 8th seed just a half a game behind #7 Miami and a full game behind #6 Indiana. However, the remaining schedule for your 76ers is quite delightful: @Grizzlies, @Spurs, Pistons, Magic, Nets. Quite delightful, indeed. Let's get out of the play-in-happy-horseshit and get ready for a run. ECF or bust (just like every damn year).
Now do me a favor and CUE IT!!!
