'That's What The Media Has To Do, They Gotta Keep It Interesting' - The Legend DJ Burns Smartly Has ZERO Interest In Ever Playing Football

Uhh no shit. That's basically it, that could really be the blog. Of course DJ Burns has no interest in playing football. Just because there was a report some football teams could be interested in him because he's a big dude (America's Favorite Big Fella) with impressive footwork, doesn't mean he wants to get in the trenches as a lineman.

 Who would want to do that, when, you know, you're a basketball player. They aren't asking him to go catch touchdowns as a tight end like Mo Allie-Cox or Antonio Gates or someone like that. 

I can't believe how much we're talking about football during the Final Four. I know football is king, I'm not a dummy, but can't we just talk about his legendary March run. He has NC State in the Final Four after winning 9 straight elimination games. That's the story. Not repetitive questions about football when he's making it pretty clear it's the last thing he wants to do. 

I have no idea what the hell Burns future holds. Nikola Jokic loves the dude, maybe he convinces the Nuggets to bring him in. Maybe he gets a 2-way deal or plays in the G League or over in Europe. But the man can play basketball. We complain all year about how NBA Draft shit ruins regular season college basketball. You can't watch a regular season game with some mock draft talk. It's time we get back to what makes college basketball great, the fact legends might not ever play in the NBA. DJ Burns is an NC State legend who isn't gonna play football. Let's stop asking him and start talking about the Final Four instead.
