CBB IN 60 Presented By Express: Kentucky Loses (Again), Yale Stuns Auburn, And 11 seeds Stay Hot

Round 1 is in the books, and it’s time for CBB in 60 presented by EXPRESS. Today, I am wearing my crewneck striped pocket tee, hyper stretch jeans, and white leather sneakers. Quality is what it’s all about at EXPRESS.

The biggest story from the Round of 64 is BY FAR the upset of Oakland over Kentucky. This is the second time in three years that the Wildcats have lost on Opening Day to a mid-major team. It used to be a joke, but the Coach Cal hot seat is a real thing. Oakland’s Jack Gohlke went insane: 10 3’s made. A March legend!

Another major upset in the SEC: Yale stuns Auburn.

The Mountain West struggled out of the gate, losing four of their six teams in the Round of 64, but San Diego State and Utah State move on. Nevada blew a major lead to Dayton in a shocking finish.

Two thrilling games on Friday: Colorado wins in a shootout over Florida, and Northwestern takes out FAU, who made the Final Four last year.

A handful of bid stealers continued to stay hot on Thursday: Duquense, Oregon, and NC State all advance as 11 seeds.

Round 2 begins today, and the game I’m most looking forward to: Gonzaga-Kansas.
