The Lollapalooza Lineup Dropped Today and It's Strong To Quite Strong

Lollapalooza's hitting the big 2-0 this year, and they're not messing around with the lineup. This festival has always been about shattering expectations, and the 2024 edition in Chicago's Grant Park, happening August 1-4, is no exception.

This year, it’s an eclectic mix that's bound to have something for everyone. Top of the bill? SZA, The Killers, Blink-182, Tyler, The Creator, and Stray Kids. That's right, from the smooth vibes of R&B to the energetic beats of pop-punk and the boundary-pushing sounds of K-Pop and hip-hop, it's a musical cocktail that's rare to find anywhere else.

The lineup goes deep. Acts like Deftones, Laufey (featuring a unique collab with the Chicago Philharmonic), and Tate McRae promise a range that spans genres and tastes. Special shoutout to the local flavor with the Chicago Philharmonic, making an appearance that’s definitely not to be missed.

But that's just scratching the surface. The lineup’s depth is insane with Skrillex, Hozier, Future X Metro Boomin, and legends like Two Door Cinema Club

on the list. Plus, with acts you shouldn't sleep on, like Melanie Martinez

you’re looking at a weekend that’s going to be more than just memorable. With over 170 acts, there's no way you're walking away without finding a new favorite.

I know Skrillex carries a heavy stigma and isn't everybody's favorite genre musician, but if you're into EDM, I can't remember ever seeing a better technical DJ than him. And I've seen him like 10 times or more now. He is an absolute beast and puts on such a fun show.

Tickets? They're flying. While you're waiting for Ticketmaster to catch up on March 21, hit up Gametime if you're not about taking chances. Prices vary, but with a guarantee of a secure transaction, it’s worth a look.

This will be the 5th year in a row I apply for a press pass to cover the festival like a real journalist for Backstage, and not have to battle the teenagers in the crowds. Hopefully I actually get approved this time. 5th times a charm after all. If anybody from C3 or Live Nation media dept reads this- help your boy out.

Got an undercard act that we should definitely be sure not to miss? Drop them in the comments.
