Professor Sprout (Miriam Margolyes) Says Harry Potter Is For Children And Obsessed Adults "Worry Her"

“Harry Potter” actor Miriam Margolyes is concerned about adult fans of the beloved franchise.

“They should be over that by now,” Margolyes said in a recent interview with New Zealand’s 1News. “You know, I mean, it was 25 years ago, and it’s for children. I think it’s for children.”

Margolyes played Professor Pomona Sprout, who taught herbology at Hogwarts and was head of the Hufflepuff House. She appeared in 2002’s “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” and 2011’s “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.”

“They get stuck in it,” Margolyes said. “I do Cameos, and people say, ‘Oh, we’re having a “Harry Potter”-themed wedding,’ and I think, ‘Gosh, what’s their first night of fun going to be?’ I can’t even think about it. No.”

LMAO Ummm, ok bitch??? Look. I know there are a lot of very very weird Harry Potter people out there. HP fans are always getting a bad name when people start comparing them to Disney Adults, and it's hard to argue in their favor when they are, as Professor Sprout says, making their wedding themes "Harry Potter." I think what Miriam is trying to convey here, is that she's concerned people are fuckin' to Harry Potter? In which case, I'm on her side. No kink shaming here, but keep that shit behind closed doors, ya'll. Otherwise....REMOVE THE STICK FROM YOUR ASS MIRIAM, HARRY POTTER IS FUN AND COOL.

Extreme weirdos aside, why do people despise it so much when others are having fun? Does everyone have to take themselves so seriously? I did a little look-see into Miriam's life, and while she's been an actress for a long time and has made a good living for herself, Professor Sprout is without a doubt her biggest role. The most recognizable, and it really was perfect casting. Now, Hufflepuffs all over the world who looked at Professor Sprout as a beacon of strength, determination and intelligence, feel bad about themselves. As if the Hufflepuffs haven't been through enough??? First Cedric Diggory and losing the Triwizard Cup, now this?? Another huge blow to the House. Shame on you, Pomona.
