"More Teams Should Take This Strategy" - Jaylen Brown Wasted No Time Clowning Steve Kerr And The Warriors For Their Bizarre Plan Of Daring Him To Shoot Like He Was Ben Simmons
One of the more bizarre parts of the Celts' 52 point blowout win over the Warriors earlier today was what GS decided to do when it came to guarding Jaylen Brown. Or better yet, I should say their decision to not guard him.

One of the most truly terrible defensive strategies you'll ever see deployed on an NBA court. The Warriors decided to guard Jaylen Brown, an All NBA player, as if he was Ben Simmons. Imagine thinking it's a good idea to give one of the best scorers in the league wide open look after wide open look?
There was only one problem with that idea. They forgot that Jaylen Brown is not a coward. He's going to shoot the three, and he's going to bury you.
Heading into this game, Jaylen was shooting 42.8% from deep since the All Star Break, so giving him practice shots probably wasn't the best idea. He immediately caught fire, the Celts started to roll, and it was a blowout before you could blink.
After the game, I think everyone wanted to hear Steve Kerr's rationale for such a hilariously terrible idea, and you'll never believe this but it's as embarrassing an answer as you would imagine. It certainly didn't take Jaylen long to weigh in as well
If a team is going to come out and disrespect you like that, you not only bury them on the court, you follow up off the court just for good measure. At first I thought it was maybe just a missed rotation from Draymond, but then once it started happening every possession it was clear it was all intentional. I still cannot believe that's a real life NBA strategy against an All NBA player who can score at all 3 levels, at home. No wonder Jaylen is talking his shit, and good for him
Add that tweet to what Jaylen also had to say about it after the game
and if we're being honest, this whole day has been tremendous. Every few hours we get to add even more to this current Celtics high to the point where I'm not sure I'm ever going to come down.
I also would have to agree with Jaylen. I would like every team to adopt this strategy. In fact, if these teams really want to show the Celtics who's boss, they won't be cowards and they'll try something like this in the playoffs. Personally, I would find that very entertaining.
