JT Realmuto Started To "Fix A Hole" In His Swing In November, Promptly Goes Very Yard In First AB Of Spring Training

What do you do when you get embarrassed by the Diamondbacks in one of the worst collapses in Philly sports history? You get to work right away. No bullshit. No excuses. No tomorrow. The Phillies were eliminated in Game 7 of the NLCS at home on October 24th, 2023. A day which will live in infamy. By November 1st, a week later, the best catcher in baseball was back on the grind. JT Realmuto at the ripe ol' age of 32 decided to forgo the golf course and Cancun to follow his father's Stalin-like demands of taking unlimited hacks off a tee in his garage until his hands bled dry get back to work ASAP by using the best technology possible. JT admitted to a hole in his swing, and he intended to Billy Mays flex seal that shit closed. How'd the hard work pay off? You tell reality.

JT worked a full count vs. a very solid AJ Smith-Shawver throwing 99mph and promptly went yam. Bryce also followed with his first at-bat of the exhibition year and singled before Sir Alec Bohm likewise stepped into the dirty box for his first plate appearance of the year and YAMMIES:

Hey, it's Spring baseball. It's meaningless. But you gotta love to see it. After the way the Phillies went out last year in the NLCS combined with 2-straight years of starting the season like dry dick, the Fightins better be ready to roll. Let's just stay healthy, please. Can't have another repeat of what happened to Rhys. Won't. If anything, mix in a few more colorful, meaningless ejections this Spring. The Ump Show during exhibition games should be the only time it's allowed, but encouraged.

PS - Gold Glove 1B award locked by April. Book it.
