I Interviewed Jalen Watts-Jackson And We Talked About One Of The Most Famous Plays In College Football History

This one was pretty surreal. If you had told me when I was lying on my college dorm room floor in tears as Michigan spit up another game against Michigan State in 2015 that I would be interviewing the man who is responsible for so much of my pain, I definitely wouldn't have believed you. To be honest, at the time, I would've probably thought I didn't have the mental capacity to do something like that. Things have definitely changed. Regardless of my allegiances, if you have an opportunity to talk to a guy responsible for one of the biggest plays in college football history, you do it.

As a Michigan fan, I obviously could've done without this moment. I acknowledge its special place in college football history, but as a fan, it wasn't too fun. In fairness, so much of that misery has been alleviated because of the last several years, especially the national championship that Michigan had most recently in 2023. But as I told Jalen, if I'm a moment like that was going to happen, I'm glad it happened to a guy like that. It's really cool to see that he's grown into a person who isn't just defined by one moment. I think it's safe to say that his athletic career will always have a special place in Michigan State lore, but you can tell he's comfortable with where he's at.

I'm really proud of what we've done with these interviews so far, and I hope that you guys enjoyed them as well. At the bottom of this blog is the linktree, where you can listen to or watch this show on whatever platform your heart desires. We will be back for a Friday show this week featuring KB. We interviewed Nick, and now KB has agreed to come on the show. I'm looking forward to learning a little bit more about his past. I did a deep dive and found some stuff that you might find interesting, so stay tuned.
