This Video Of A Ref Being Hilariously Lazy Is The Perfect Example Of How Terrible They Are In College Basketball

I know I like to scream college basketball refs are terrible, but this might the most egregious thing I've ever seen. Doug Shows, a guy who gets to call Final Four games, just tossing it up like I see at my 4-year old's games at the YMCA. They don't even (technically, we're still competitive in this household) keep score. Doug Shows doesn't go to Florida to work. He's there to collect money and move onto the next place. 

Low key the funniest part is him looking at all the players like it's their fault. Perfect toss, play on you idiots! Even the players on FAU stopped and was like listen I know Vlad is 7-feet tall, but something seems off here. Nope, play on. Doug Shows isn't going to waste his time with a second jump ball. What are you crazy here? 

I'm well aware it's pointless to yell about refs. We do it every Sunday yet we all sit on our fat asses and watch the NFL. We do about it every single day in college basketball but in a month we'll be doing the same thing. We'll all make fun of Doug Shows here because of how terrible it looks, but it doesn't matter. He's going to be calling your favorite team's big game soon. 

I still can't believe this is real. Dude was like Lt. Frank Drebin when he called got behind the plate and had no idea how to call a strike. Then he heard the crowd and went nuts. That's Doug Shows in real life. Perfect jump ball.
