Dana White Announces Alex Pereira vs Jamahal Hill Is The UFC 300 Main Event

After MONTHS of back-and-forth, rumors, and speculation surrounding the UFC 300 main event - we finally have our answer.

It will be UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Alex Pereira defending his title against Jamahal "Sweet Dreams" Hill, who vacated the title due to injury before he ever got the chance to make a defense - a true WrestleMania X scenario....

"Who's the REAL Light Heavyweight Champion?!"

Personally, I'm pretty stoked with this fight given the circumstances and how little big name fighters are actually available for 300. It's obviously not a McGregor/Chandler or even an Adesanya fight for the casuals, but this is an all out BANGER of a matchup guaranteed to produce a war in the main event. I promise you, if you don't know these names, rest-assured it'll be a slobberknocker.

Jamahal Hill is coming off a torn achilles, but got cleared to start light sparring at the beginning of the month, and went right to Sean Strickland to break him back in….

….and Alex Pereira is of course coming off winning the title against Jiri Prochazka this past November at Madison Square Garden, where he looked as good as ever. They'll meet in the center of the octagon and SWANG-AND-BANG to cap off the historic 300 card.

We're gonna talk about this fight, the decision to make it the UFC 300 main event, Ilia Topuria's title win, and UFC 298 as a whole on the Spinnin Backfist MMA Show right now, so be sure to tune in and join the Rumble chat to be apart of the show!
