Happy Valentine's Day From The Love Below

Today sucks if you're a guy. Either you're single and feeling extra lonely thanks to mass marketing's ploy to sell us more shit we don't need. All in the name of love. Or you have a girlfriend or wife and you're out a decent amount of money considering how high or low maintenance she is and how hard you had to go on the roses, chocolates, or jewelry. Oh, and don't forget dinner later tonight.

I guess it's just another one of those things we suck up and deal with I guess because we don't have to endure child birth?

This song is a lot deeper than one might think upon first listen. It's a blend of satire and earnestness, wrapped in OutKast's signature genre bending style. I still remember when this double-album came out and how much people hated "The Love Below" side of it at first. "It was weird" at the time. But slowly, over a few weeks and months it began sweeping people up and became a fan favorite. This song included.
