Super Bowl 58 Had The Most Viewers For Any Telecast Since The MOON LANDING

Every time I see a new stat I'm speechless. THE MOON LANDING? The entire world tuned in to see us LAND ON THE MOON, and the only other time that many people tuned in to something, was to see Travis Kelce kiss Taylor Swift under the bright lights and confetti. That's fucking unbelievable.

To be fair, 123.4 million people tuned into SB58, and 650 million people watched the moon landing, but the sentiment is still there. Neilsen is over here making the comparisons. 20% of the amount of people who watched A MAN WALK ON THE MOON IN SPACE, watched a comeback and a sports victory that will go down in history. About 9 million more than last year, too. The world cannot resist a story like this.

I imagine Neilsen HQ to be like an old 70s control room at an airport or something. Permanently frozen in time, looking exactly how it looked when man landed on the moon. I picture some big whig Network Executive chain smoking cigarettes and screaming over the shoulder of some terrified #2 in thick glasses, sweat stains on his white button down and cups full of black coffee everywhere. There are massive machines buzzing and blinking all over, with a huge wall of tiny black and white TVs broadcasting Pat Mahomes sliding up the middle and gaining 13 yards before the big win. Whole place erupts after that last catch, suddenly everyone has a glass of whiskey, all the secretaries are passing out champagne and toasting to a job well done. Travis and Taylor kiss on screen, and everyone in the room follows suit. The couple everyone knows about has their romantic moment, the two loser nerds running the numbers get in to a furious makeout session, and then in a SHOCKING TWIST, the network exec grabs his #2 with the glasses and plants a big kiss on the lips. HISTORY.
