'See Red And Think Super Bowls' - Andy Reid Proved He's An Elite Recruiter By Dropping An Incredible Line That Convinced Drue Tranquill To Join The Chiefs

There's for sure no other coach in the NFL that could get away with using an emoji while texting free agents. That's strictly an Andy Reid move. I know there's a lot going on here. The 6% battery, using military time for the clock and of course the line 'See Red and think Super Bowls.' That's a fucking awesome line.

He's also not wrong. If you play on the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes is healthy enough to be the starting quarterback you can basically guarantee yourself a spot in the AFC Title game. I mean he's 100% at getting there as a starting quarterback. Doesn't mater what receivers are playing, doesn't matter the defense or anything else, Mahomes is going to make the AFC title game. So, yeah, Andy Reid can pull off the think Super Bowls, because that's what the Chiefs are now. Every year we'll have some talk about how the Chiefs aren't right this year. They'll lose a bad game or two and the offense won't look great. We should all agree to stop saying anything about the Chiefs in the regular season. All that matters is if they make the playoffs because when they do, they figure it all out.

I don't know why Reid threw in an emoji here. It doesn't even make sense. Full disclosure, I'm not an emoji guy. I'm what you would call too old to use one, so I'm not really up to date on when it looks normal or not. This just feels like a case where you can't use an emoji. You're recruiting a linebacker, something tells me NFL linebackers typically don't use emojis. Wide receivers? Sure. Quarterbacks? More than likely. But a linebacker? They feel like they text right to the case.
