Fun Fact: The Eagles' New D-Line Coach, Clint Hurtt, Can Kick Every Other NFL Coach's Ass

Truth be told, I didn't know much about Clint Hurtt before this hire. But after taking just one quick glance at the size of this lad, I've never had more faith in the Eagles being able to turn around this shit storm.

One of the Eagles' main issues last year was their coaching staff was just so damn difficult to respect. Nick Sirianni is an annoying little brother who everybody just wants to slap in the back of the head. Sean Desai and Brian Johnson were wildly unprepared to take on their roles. Matt Patricia is a fucking moron. The only coach on that staff who garners an ounce of respect is Jeff Stoutland, but he can't do it alone.

You need a coaching staff that the team in the locker room is going to respect, and a coaching staff that the team on the other side of the field is going to fear. That's where Clint Hurtt comes in.

First of all, his name sounds like an action hero to begin with. You could envision the name Clint Hurtt being the main character in a movie about a guy who spent 20 years in the military as one of the most highly decorated soldiers of all time, now he's retired but one of his buddy's he served with needs his help for just "one last mission". Names carry weight, and Clint Hurtt carries a fuck ton of it. At least 290lbs of it, to be exact.

Find me one NFL coach right now who can take Clint Hurtt 1v1 in a fight. You can't. And that makes the Eagles dangerous moving forward. Before this hire, who did you have to worry about? Big Dom? Dre Greenlaw and the 49ers showed the world that Big Dom was no longer untouchable. Try touching Clint Hurtt, however, and it'll be the last thing that hand of yours ever touches. Eagles are so damn back, and this giant slab of meat is going to lead the way.
