Chris Long Ranks The Available NFL Head Coach Openings

On today's Pardon My Take... CHRIS LONG! The former NFL player and current podcaster joined Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter to talk about upcoming Championship Sunday, how the Ravens defense works, Brock Purdy discourse, what type of coach works in today’s NFL, and more.

Speaking of coaches, there are a total of five teams still actively looking for a head coach. In no particular order, the Panthers, Chargers, Falcons, Commanders, and Seahawks will each be hiring someone new to lead their teams in 2024. So, with those openings still out there, which ones are the most appealing? The guys asked Chris Long his thoughts on this topic, and here is what he had to say...

HIGH ON THE LIST: Atlanta (a bunch of playmakers on the team already, in the NFC)

SOLID: Chargers (Justin Herbert)

SNEAKY GOOD: Titans (even though their position was recently filled)

GREAT JOB: Commanders (QB Russian Roulette coming soon)

A LOT OF FUN AND A REALLY GOOD GM: Seahawks (the state of the NFC West

LAST: Panthers (owner situation)

Alright, so we didn't exactly get a specific numbered list, but these labels sure are interesting. I'm sure we will find out in the next week or two who the next Head Coaches of these football teams will be.
