Odell Beckham Says The Giants Purposefully Traded Him To Cleveland "To Die"

So the internet is saying this is more of a shot at the Giants front office than it is at the Browns, and I have to whole heartedly disagree. I am right and the internet is wrong. But before we get into why this is a shot at Cleveland (while wearing a Chief Wahoo hat), I first want to explain how wrong OBJ is. Not shocked at all, by the way.

"You can't tell me that this was the best trade package you could've got for me"

Okay Odell, you're insisting that there were better offers on the table for you, but the Giants GM turned those down just to send you off to a horrible team. Give me a break. If you think that these General Managers and these coaches and these decision makers, who can be gone in the blink of an eye and never get another chance, would do ANYTHING of the sort than you simply don't understand how the world works. Take Nick Sirianni for example. The man took the Eagles to the Super Bowl last year and started the season 10-1 this year.....and now he's likely to be fired. At no point in the NFL do you ever have the ability to do anything other than what wins the most games. So to insinuate that the Giants were combing through offers and cross-checking them with the talent level of the team is a joke, just like Odell.

"I could of went to the 49ers, I could of went to the Patriots, I could've went to teams that had a chance to be great, and that's not what their desire was"

Yeah, I don't even know why I bother wasting my breath over someone this dumb. Anyone with a brain can see that ODELL wanted to go to a championship ready team (aka how he won one with the Rams) but championship ready teams were well aware of the cancer he was. Hey Odell, do you know how the 49ers and Patriots got to where they were? By not trading away a 1st rounder, a 3rd rounder, and Jabrill Peppers to get drama queen wide receivers with attitude problems. You think Bill Belichick was offering better than Cleveland? For YOU? No, Cleveland overpaid because they thought you were the missing piece to take us to the playoffs. And clearly you made us worse, but instead of admitting that you were a horrible addition, you still take shots at us like you did in this clip.

OBJ is flat out wrong in his assessment of what made Cleveland a destination spot "to die". Our team was talented. Our team was ready to win. We went 7-8-1 the year before you got brought in, and YOU were supposed to be a huge reason to get us over the hump. We won 6 games in which you played in 16 of them. It doesn't take much intelligence to realize that when you need to be counted on, your teams lose. In fact, one year after we traded for you (and with you hurt), we DID make the playoffs AND we won a playoff game. On the road. In Pittsburgh. Without you. To portray the Browns that you went to as the 1-15 or 0-16 teams of the past is wrong. You sabotaged the team with your play, not the other way around.

And your play wasn't the only thing that you were doing to sabotage Cleveland….

And it wasn't just you actively trying to make sure players didn't come here. You had your dad go on a campaign to be such a pain in the ass that we had to get rid of you. He posted an 11 minute video of Baker not throwing you the ball!!!

Odell, the Giants didn't send you to Cleveland to die. You, one of the most talented receivers this league has seen, dug your own grave. Take the Chief Wahoo hat off.
