I'm Man Enough To Admit This After Watching Kentucky/A&M - College Basketball Refs Are Clueless
You may be wondering why I'm leading with the game going to OT. Because, all people can talk about are how bad the refs were in the Kentucky/A&M game. I'm here, as a Kentucky grad, as a Kentucky fan, as a college basketball diehard, as someone who bleeds blue, that you are correct. How could you have such a dumb rule?
You see everyone thinks the fumble out of the end zone for a turnover is the worst rule in sports when in reality this is. Let me set the scene a little more. 5:40 mark in the 1st half, the refs (who are dumb) call a goaltend on A&M. Kentucky got the rebound with nobody around for a dunk but play stopped, because, you know, the goaltend. 2 minutes later they review the play and take away the two points for Kentucky. How does that make any sense? Those 2 points would have mattered! Some would say important! If you're going to review a play like that, review it right away and give the ball back to who has possession. Pretty simple, but I'm just a normal man with common sense.
Anyways I still see people complaining. So let's investigate more.
Again, I disagree with the refs and agree with the masses. Should have been an intentional. You can't be kicking your legs out trying to trip people. That only happens with Grayson Allen and he has to serve a 1-game suspension. No room in the game for that at all. Disgusting even.
Then there was the foul at the end of the game.
Great call, only exception being we had to see Pat Adams' mug up close to review a .1 second added to the clock. So yeah, I agree. The refs were atrocious. Not as bad as Kentucky's rebounding, but bad nonetheless. And I know we barely scored a point in OT. I like my team. They are going to be fine. We won't always have to deal with Pat Adams and atrocious reffing.
