The Browns Are Still Paying Joe Flacco His Game Incentive Bonus Despite Sitting Him Out Today

Wait, is the Browns front office finally.......good at their job? I remember not so long ago when the Browns thought they finalized a trade at the deadline for AJ McCarron (yikes), only to find out we didn't file the proper paperwork in time. How in the last 5 years have we gone from a literal bottom of the barrel organization to.....a good one?

And listen, I'm not going to sit here and act like this is some sort of out of the blue, didn't have to do it, makes your misty-eyed kind of gesture or anything. "Nice touch by Cleveland" seems like a bit of an overstatement by Field Yates. This is what we in the business call a No Fucking Brainer. Joe Flacco has single handedly rejuvenated an organization, a fan base, an entire city, and honestly, an entire country of people. What he has done in his trek from the Couch just over a month ago to hopefully the Super Bowl a month from now has been nothing short of a miracle. I mean, after his very first start in Los Angelos (where he did look good despite losing), all he has done is gone 4 straight games with over 300 yards passing, 11 touchdowns, and most importantly, 4 wins.

The fact that Joe Flacco was hopefully someone who would be able to help Cleveland tread water to fight for a playoff spot, but turned into someone who locked up a playoff spot so early that he doesn't even have to dress in Week 18, is incredible. And it's hilarious to think that since he did that, he would lose out on $75,000 for being....too good. Anyways, I think anyone with a pulse would agree, the Browns owe the man a little more than 75K....

Now, I do think it's funny that Joe Flacco is getting $75,000 every time he plays 50% of the snaps and the team wins. The man's Net Worth is estimated to be $85,000,000. So while the National Media is gushing over this kind gesture by the Browns front office, let's relax for a second. We basically just tossed Joe Flacco a quarter to get a gum-ball out of the machine. I mean, the man literally said he has "no idea" how much money he's making and that he hasn't even looked at his bank account since joining the Browns.

Hilarious. Joe, you're making $75K today, fyi.

Anyways, please no one point out that his net worth of 85 million, after having played 16 years in the NFL and having won a Super Bowl and the MVP of that game, is only about a third of what we signed Deshaun Watson for. Positive Vibes Only on this playoff run.

**I know this game has zero impact on literally anything today, but my goodness how crazy would it be if JEFF DRISKEL beats the Bengals today? That would be the 5th Browns starting QB to win a game this season. And they're still going to make people vote on Coach of the Year....?
