Yikes! Tyler Kolek Promised A Seton Hall Fan He'd Beat Their Ass Before The Game, Puts Up 5 Points And Loses On The Road

I've long been a Tyler Kolek fan. I love that he's willing to talk shit. I love that he's this dude who couldn't get on the floor in the A-10 and is an All-American. But uh, talking shit only works when you don't do this: 

Wait, hold on. Let's check the final. People have bad games all the time right: 

You can't talk shit pregame and do this. There are rules to shit talking. I'm very pro talking as much as you can. We know Kolek will do so, but you gotta show up. That's rule 1. If you talk your shit, you better back it up. I don't care if you're playing pick up ball, if you're playing 2 on 2 against your idiot friends or if you're playing Big East basketball. Back it up. Kolek did not. Marquette fans can't go to bat for him in this game.

I'll say this. Seton Hall is the frisky Big East team. They'll rock fight you to death. They'll win at home. They are going to be a problem in the Big East because of this. They have wins over Providence, Marquette and UConn already. Not bad! Not bad at all! Frank is smiling and dancing. Frank won't be complaining about this team (for now). 

Lesson as always. Don't lose when you call your shot.
