This Comically Large Texas High School Football Player Is Taking the Internet by Storm

There's nothing better than the once or twice a year something like this absolute unit makes headlines from the universe that is Texas high school football. That gigantic lad is Byron Washington, the somehow-only-No. 67 offensive tackle in the 2025 recruiting class. His measurements? 6'8, 380 pounds.

That kid he's manhandling is supposedly 6'4, 215 and he looks like they accidentally left him out on the field after playing a Pop Warner game at halftime. Even other massive human beings look miniscule when lined up next to Washington.

I haven't even seen his film, but if Washington isn't bumped up to at least a four-star on vibes alone, I have lost faith in recruiting rankings. He currently has a 247Sports Crystal Ball prediction to Texas, but also has offers from TCU, Oregon and Arizona State. I'd imagine the attention he's gotten over the last couple days will have a few more schools calling.

Washington and his Desoto team finished their 15-0 season with a 74-14 win in the state championship this weekend, which doesn't seem difficult to believe when you're trotting out guys like him. I would imagine Desoto's quarterback felt pretty safe this year.
