Paddy The Baddy Dominates Tony Ferguson On The Way To The Biggest Win Of His Career

OHHHHHH PADDY THE BADDDDDYYYYYY!!!

It wasn't the prettiest fight, and wasn't the easiest win, but Paddy The Baddy defeated a LEGEND in Tony Ferguson tonight for the biggest victory of his career after ankle surgery and a year-long layoff.

After a slugfest in Round 1 - which Paddy got the better of (where he very nearly got a finish)....

....Paddy admittedly blew his load cardio-wise, and was forced to mostly coast for the next two rounds - holding Ferguson down on the mat and imposing his grappling strength.

Ferguson didn't look too bad tonight - and he definitely added a little "UUMPH" to his usual knee slides after roasting the Spinnin Backfist account earlier this week....

….but he still can't defeat Father Time, and the 2023 version of Tony just wasn't enough to get past Pimblett - dropping him to 0-7 in his last 7. Pretty crazy for the former boogeyman of the division, but that's the unforgiving game of MMA for ya.

Not even the assistance of David Goggins could get T-Ferg back in the W column….

Oh, and I've gotten a bunch of questions about whether or not Paddy and Molly are still with Barstool this week, so just to clear up any confusion: no, they're not - but there was no bad blood/breakup/anything like that. I believe their contracts simply ran up, and since Barstool no longer has the financial backing of PENN/sportsbook to promote, they weren't re-upped. We still love them and will support them for life for how they treated us while they were here tho.

Congrats to Paddy! Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis just got into a brawl in the crowd so I'm gonna go blog that now!
