TYLAN WALLACE WALK-OFF OT PUNT RETURN TD TO WIN A WET AND WILD ONE IN BALTIMORE!!!!!

WHAT A FUCKING WINNNNNNNN

That was such a predictably wild football game. Anytime there's weird weather and an NFC team coming to Baltimore, I feel like shit gets a little crazy. Something like 7 lead changes, late dramatics, dropped passes, muffed punts.... just a total seesaw battle that came down to somebody being a hero.

For a minute there, it looked like it was going to be Lamar and Zay Flowers getting the shine. Man... 3rd and 17 after an absolute BULLSHIT non-review on a sack that for sure wasn't... an incredible response by Lamar to cap off an incredible drive.

Lamar has obviously made countless highlight plays that are engrained in our brains... but he doesn't have all that many late game moments. This was for sure one of them, and I wanted badly for the game to end with him and Zay being the ultimate heroes.

Unfortunately... weird game gonna weird game. Defense did not have their best stuff today. Got bullied early on the ground, found their stride in the 3rd quarter, and then got picked apart thru the air in the 4th without Kyle Hamilton out there (prayers up btw). The Rams hit a couple big chunk plays and were quickly in position to at least tie, if not win the game late. We held our ground and got the dang thing to OT, where anything can happen.

Anything happened. Tylan Wallace is a guy that has spent the last couple of years fighting just to keep his NFL career afloat. Odds were stacked against him to even make the roster out of camp, but he showed out and beat out James Proche and others by being a factor on special teams. Namely in coverage.... with the caveat that he could return kicks and punts in a pinch.

I'll be 1000% honest. With Duvernay going down in the 3rd quarter (also prayers up)... in OT I'm looking to go to a guy like Zay Flowers to try to make an electric play, kinda like how we would throw Ed Reed back there to return a punt every once in a while when we needed a spark.

Tylan got his chance and made the most of it. Good for fucking him man. Guy followed the blueprint on how to hang on in the NFL by doing all the extra things and showing value outside of trying to break thru as a receiver... bided his time... and made the play of the year to date. And there's a good chance he's looking for another job next summer. But for now... what a moment he and the city of Baltimore will never forget.

10-3 and still in the driver's seat in the AFC! Great job hanging tough there in one of those games where convention is out the window and ya just gotta survive and advance. Everything is right there in front of these guys. Time to go take the Jags' lunch and continue on this trek for the 1 seed.
