Just A Reminder That Grand Canyon Is A Fucking Wild Place For College Hoops, Once Again Put On The Best Show In The Country

So last night was America's reminder that somehow, someway the best home court environment is at Grand Canyon. That's right, I mean look at that and how do you not get jazzed up? They were hosting No. 25 San Diego State, game was on national TV and look at that place. No wonder Rick Pitino once said it was the toughest place he ever played. Only thing missing from last night was a Frankie Muniz sighting

Best part of this all? It's not new

GCU and The Havocs just show up all the time. Even the biggest of programs have let down games from fans. Oh, I guess I should mention that GCU is actually good this year too. I mean, I know, everyone is already talking about them being this year's Florida Atlantic (get used to hearing that, it's the new way to say this year's VCU which was previously George Mason). GCU though figured out what it should be as a mid-major. They take in high-major transfers, blend it with people in the system for a couple years and go from there. They also have one of the best stories in college basketball this year with Tyon Grant-Foster:

Nice little 6 point win over San Diego State to move the Antelopes (great name) to 7-1. Oh and they are doing this all without Jovan Blackshear yet. But this is a shout out to the Havocs. That's how you do a homecourt advantage in college basketball. Just go fucking bananas all day and bring in a court storm. It's a minor miracle they ever lose a game at home.
