Our Producers And Social Media Employees Are Getting An Extra $1 Million This Holiday Season Thanks To Stoolies And Dave Portnoy
What an awesome story this Black Friday was for the hardest working people in the company. Stoolies contributed two thirds of a million dollars extra past our goal and Dave generously matched every dollar for the last two hours of the sale to make it get to 7 digits. Dave has said there's roughly 100 employees that fall into this category at Barstool, so that equates to a near $10,000 bonus for each of them.
If watching some of the videos that our producers made for the sale doesn't make you happy for them then you have no heart:
We need a camera on Zuppe when he finds out he's 10 bands richer thanks to you all and Uncle D. There was a lot of misconception about this bonus and what that meant if the goal wasn't met. I want to emphasize that this was purely Dave's idea, and had nothing to do with anyone's wages or year end bonuses in the first place. This is just extra cash raised directly from the Stoolies that is going to additional money for the people that don't really ever get that type of shine.
It's timely, but I've seen thousands of comments on how well produced Episode 1 of Surviving Barstool was:
That show is made possible yes, by the fact that we recruited our 14 biggest talents minus Gaz to be on it, but by the editors and producers who spent the last month working around the clock to churn it out. You can have Rico Bosco go back into full junkyard dog mode but you don't get the beauty of the clip without those people behind the scenes. It's a giant production from filming to editing to social to everything in between. So here's a sincere thank you from someone who has been on some of those teams working long hours and in the office on holidays when there's probably a billion other places you'd rather be. That doesn't go unnoticed and I'm sure we're all better off for it with the type of stuff these guys continue to churn out and will be extra motivated to do with an extra 10 racks in their pocket.
