A Goddamn LION Was Wandering The Streets Of Italy After Escaping From The Circus

Mamma Mia is right lady! What the fuck are my Paisans on the boot doing these days letting lions escape from circuses and run wild calmly walk wild in the streets?

NBC News- A circus lion escaped and was seen roaming around heavily populated streets for hours in a suburb of Rome on Saturday, before it was sedated and captured by authorities. Alessandro Grando, mayor of the seaside town of Ladispoli, on the western fringe of the Italian capital, confirmed in a Facebook post just before 10:30 p.m. (4:30 p.m. ET) that the lion had been caught, hours after the alarm had been raised.

I feel like anybody with a heart that has ever been to a circus leaves the show thinking that those animals should be set free because they usually look miserable and malnourished. However anybody with a brain should leave the circus thinking there is no way they should have any animals considering who is running those things.

I personally have circus people one tier above carnival carnies in terms of people I wouldn't trust with taking care of a pet let alone a man eating predator. I'm not even trying to be mean either because I have Barstool employees only one tier above circus people. The fact anybody that gets paid to participate in Dave Portnoy's fun factory is allowed to breed is beyond me. Regardless, putting mamalukes from the circus in charge a monstrous beast is a failure of the most basic of common sense and how you get a lion strolling through the Rome suburbs like a fucking alley cat.

While I'm happy nobody was hurt by this very peaceful lion, there is no disputing this is a terrible look for the whole King of the Jungle moniker. As nature documentaries get more popular and our knowledge of wildlife continues to grow, I feel like other animals are going to come for the lion's proverbial throne. Hell, tigers may have already usurped lions for that title if the humans in Tiger King weren't such gigantic piles of shit. However there is something about that mane that screams King. I'm not saying I'm hoping the next loose lion goes on a feeding frenzy. But it will do the lion brand a lot of good if it does, especially since the NFL team is not actively ruining their reputation and actually showing some fight in the first time for forever.
