Dillon Brooks Once Again Talked His Shit About "Locking LeBron Up" And In A Stunning Twist He Actually Backed It Up

Remember last Spring when Dillon Brooks couldn't stop talking about how he was going to shut down LeBron, how he had him right where he wanted him etc only for LeBron to completely destroy him in their playoff series? It got so bad that Dillon Brooks wouldn't even talk to the media to own up to it. A weak move no matter how you slice it.

Well with the Rockets set to play the Lakers for the first time this season, Dillon Brooks was once again ready to talk his shit

Most would think this was another instance of Brooks signing his own death wish right? I mean, we heard this same song and dance a few months ago only for LeBron to bury him. Why would this time be any different?

Here's the thing though, for maybe the first time ever, Dillon Brooks backed up his shit talking.

Not only that, the Rockets won the game 128-94. Sure the Lakers didn't have AD, but LeBron was a -24 in his minutes and finished with just 18 points. Listen, if we're going to give Dillon Brooks shit for when he runs his mouth, fails, and then dodges the media, we should also give him credit when he talks his shit and backs it up. Stopping LeBron isn't exactly the easiest thing to do in the world, and there's no denying that Brooks won this round.

Also, don't look now but the Houston Rockets currently have a top 10 defense in the NBA (9th). Not a bad jump for a team that ranked 29th just last season, and adding the defense of Brooks along with Ime's system is clearly having success to start the year. Pair that with their 10th ranked offense and 5th best net rating….are the Rockets about to make a leap? Is this a Play In team? I mean as of now they're the 6th seed and have a better point differential than GS, DAL, OKC, PHX, NO, SAC and LAC! Small sample sure, but admit it, that's surprising!

But even more surprising is the fact that Dillon Brooks was finally able to back up his shit talking when it came to LeBron. Maybe the world truly is ending? Do we now live in a world where Dillon Brooks isn't just talking shit, but he's now going to go out and do something about it? Are the Rockets actually good now? The whole thing is very confusing.
