Diamondbacks Fans Were So Bored During Their World Series Loss That They Started Making Paper Airplanes And Throwing Them On The Field

Tough go of it last night for the Diamondbacks as they find themselves 1 loss away from losing this World Series. Last nights game was a STINKER. Game was over in the third inning basically. Snakes were down 11-1 after the 4th so the fans had to find some way to have some fun. You’d think being in the ballpark on Halloween would be a great time, you thought wrong. So after MLB did their “Stand Up To Cancer“ feature the fans decided to let their signs fly. Literally.

They stopped cheering for the game and started cheering for the paper airplanes they were making and throwing onto the field. Tons of fans started making the airplanes and tried to get them to fly down onto the field, a few successfully doing so as well. Probably the biggest cheers of the night before their late inning rally came from the paper airplanes. This may be a once in a lifetime chance for some Arizona fans, you never know if and when your team will get back to the World Series. So you 100% aren’t leaving a game early, midas whale stay and have some fun, and that’s what these fans did. Have to love that they boo’d the announcer who said fans can be subject to fines for throwing things on the field too.

If you were sitting in the lower bowl last night you got a healthy shower of paper airplanes and there wasn’t really much you could do. They were letting those airplanes fly from the upper deck, looked like it was snowing in there.

They should give away tickets to anyone who got their airplane onto the field last night, that takes some skill. I could never make a good paper airplane, I wasn’t a good folder, but I do respect a good fold. Tough look for the fans who got their airplanes stuck in the netting, gotta regroup and comeback next time with a better plan.

Good on the Diamondbacks fans for trying to have some fun while they were getting their teeth kicked in on the way to the brink of elimination. Made for some good in-game entertainment.
