And Now The $230,000,000 Man Deshaun Watson Has Been Ruled OUT For Sunday So He Can Rest
Oh dear Lord. We're one week away from Daylight Savings and Deshaun needs to rest? I would think Deshaun Watson would be the most rested player in the NFL right now. I mean, he rested the entire 2021 season. He was forced to rest for 11 more games in the 2022 season. He rested for 2 more games this season. And after essentially five minutes last week vs the Colts, he took the rest of the day off to catch up on his rest! How much more fucking rest does this guy need? Meanwhile, we're paying him TWO HUNDRED THIRTY MILLION DOLLARS (guaranteed) to sit out!!!!
Is he hurt or not? Because every five minutes the story has changed. He was cleared to play against the Ravens, but he chose to sit. He then inexplicably didn't practice for the next two weeks and sat out again. But then he played, until he took one hit to the head, he got cleared, wanted to return, and Stefanski held him out? And then out of the clouds, Schefty reports yesterday that we're back on the shoulder injury and that Deshaun has a subscapularis strain within the rotator cuff and if he was a pitcher he'd be out 6 weeks?
What the fuck is going on? For a franchise that has only known public embarrassment, this saga is becoming the biggest joke of them all. The Onion could not write a more laughable script than what has happened to the Browns since we mortgaged our future for this guy (while he had 20+ unresolved sexual assault accusations). This would only happen to Cleveland. And now, when we finally have a legitimate roster that is ready to win, we have a healthy QB resting. The Browns are simply too good to have this here one day, gone the next 50 mentality. We are legitimately a SUPER BOWL CONTENDER if we could become slightly below average at one position.
I already said it earlier this week, but we have a 4-2 football team that has quarterback stats of:
- Dead Last in Passer Rating
- Dead Last in Completion Percentage
- 31st in Passing Yards
- 31st in Passing Touchdowns (4 through 6 games LOL)
- 2nd in Interceptions
This team has been winning while playing 10 on 11, Notre Dame style. Except the position we're playing without is the most important in all of sports. And the move we made to fix this (drum roll please)………………..
HURRAY!!! OUR STARTING QB IS NO LONGER A PRACTICE SQUAD PLAYER!!!
Jesus Christ, this fan base deserves better. Kirk Cousins takes this team to the Super Bowl, so go get him. The only problem is he'd show how easy it is to win with the best defense, special teams, and some of the best weapons in the league. He'd have the fans calling for us to cut our franchise QB for…..Kirk fucking Cousins. We can't have that. So the least we could do is trade for Sam Howell's backup, Jacoby Brissett, and give this team the chance of winning it deserves.
