Interesting Justin Herbert Stat: There Are No Active NFL QBs That Have More Losses Than Herbert Since He Was Drafted In 2020

I need everyone to just say I am right about this guy and I will stop. Three years ago I started talking about how Justin Herbert isn't elite but has elite talent. For some reason in the NFL we decide what quarterbacks get excuses for their bad play and Justin Herbert is one of them. If I am being honest, Josh Allen gets this treatment as well but he has earned it more than Justin Herbert with some playoff wins.

Every time the Chargers lose, there is an excuse that the defense or the coaching is the problem and it is impossible for him to win. However there have been four games this year where he had the ball in his hands with a chance to win the game and he did not win. That's just a simple fact. All Chargers fans will throw his stats in my face but that's because he throws the ball 50 times a game and will probably need Tommy John soon. Wins and losses are not QB stats, but it also kind of is because the reason you win a game is because of your quarterback.

All of this banter isn't even Herbert's fault. It's the analysts and social media that praise him so much and he doesn't say a word. He is probably like "Everyone shut the fuck up! I am not that good. Lets just relax". But unfortunately we are well passed that now. Herbert needs to figure it all out and he needs to do it soon because Keenan Allen is just getting older, Mike Williams is hurt most of the time, and we all know Austin Ekeler will be gone after this year. The team is only going to get worse around Herbert once his extension kicks in, which will likely only lead to more losses and show just how overrated he is.
