"The Worst Thing He Did Was Wake Up The Houston Astros" - Martín Maldonado Gave An Ice Cold Response About His Confrontation With Adolis Garcia

Last night was the game of the year in Major League Baseball. I wrote about it. It was everything I hoped we'd get out of a series between two bitter rivals. The "moment of the game" happened five different times. Initially, I thought it would be Adolis García's three-run home run off of Verlander. That blew the roof off of Globe Life Stadium. I don't need to recap the rest of the game. Garcia got hit in his next at-bat. José Altuve added another moment to his future Hall of Fame career.

After the game, Martin Maldonado, who nearly got into a fistfight with Garcia after a pitch hit him, let the world know what was up.

"The worst thing he did was wake up the Houston Astros." Ain't that the truth? You can love them. You can hate them, but you can't deny that there isn't a scarier team in baseball than a pissed off Houston Astros squad.

Martin Maldonado is such a weird player. The guy could not hit his way out of a wet paper bag, yet the Astros and their players insist that he's a key piece of their team. People can deny how important pedigree is in the postseason, but you can't deny that this Astros team is about as tightknit group as there is in the entire sport. There's a reason why they keep fucking people in the postseason. You don't want to wake them up.
