More MLB Ballparks Need A Pool In Them So They Can Celebrate Like The Diamondbacks Did Last Night

By far the coolest part about having a pool in your ballpark is being able to celebrate sweeping a 100-win division rival in the NLDS and then being able to go out to right center field and take a nice dip in the pool. A few years ago the Diamondbacks got mad at LA for celebrating in their pool, and now they got their revenge. Fittingly Corbin Carroll was the first snake to get out there and gave us a nice back jump to celebrate. Pretty cool that they still did it with the fans in the stands too, they were going nuts in there watching their guys move onto the NLCS. I bet that pool was heated too, probably felt very good to jump into during this time of year, especially after playing in a game and needing a nice comedown.

The tough part is how small the pool is. No room for pool games, they have those barstools that face the field so you cant really do any cool jumps or dives, definitely not deep enough, can't play sharks and minnows either. But it still a spectacular celebration, you really are the only team that can do this, no one else has anything cool like this in their park. I guess Kansas City and their fountains, but they ain't swimming in that.

And when you get your GM to do a bellyflop into it then you're really doing it right. Love the guys just hanging in the hot tub too, ultimate relax spot. It got super crowded with the media there too, looks like a pool party in 2009 at your friends house if their parents were gone. Just people as far as the eyes can see, drinking, belly flops. This is a different home field advantage, if you're Arizona you almost have to want to clinch every year at home just so you can jump in and take a dip with the boys.
