Amber Heard Claimed Jason Momoa Showed Up Drunk To The Set Of 'Aquaman 2' Dressed As Johnny Depp And Tried To Get Her Fired

Depp fans paid the court fees for the release of documents from Heard’s therapist, Dr. Dawn Hughes. The raw notes, scribbled on a legal pad, were part of last year’s high-profile trial in which Depp largely prevailed. They describe a hostile “Aquaman” set where an allegedly intoxicated Jason Momoa dressed like Depp and pushed to have Heard booted from the role of aquatic superhero Mera.

“Jason said he wanted me fired,” the notes say. “Jason drunk — late on set. Dressing like Johnny. Has all the rings too.”

A rep for Momoa declined comment, but a DC spokesperson pushed back on Heard’s characterization, saying, “Jason Momoa conducted himself in a professional manner at all times on the set of ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.’” Others echoed that sentiment. “Jason works his ass off, likes to have a beer once in a while like everyone, but doesn’t show up drunk to set,” says an insider who was on the London set in 2021, adding that the two stars got along and were seen joking together. “And he isn’t dressing like Johnny Depp. He has always dressed in that bohemian style.”

My initial reaction to the article headline was addressed pretty quickly into this: Jason Momoa has always kinda dressed like Johnny Depp. Call it Bohemian or whatever you want (I'd call it a style that has a very thin dividing line between pulling it off vs looking like a total asshole), but that has been a look shared by both of them for a long time. The rings, hats, leather, wristbands, bracelets. All that shit was part of Momoa's look lonnnnnnng before the Depp v Heard trial. As far as him trying to get her fired, thats tougher to read.

If I was Heard and attacked by the entire universe for that bizarro trial, I would definitely be paranoid that people were trying to oust me.

And if I was Jason Momoa, I would absolutely want her off the movie. Take the guilty vs not-guilty shit off the table completely that would still be the case. Not only was she public enemy #1 but there was an insane media circus surrounding her that nobody would want attached to their franchise sequel to a movie that made a billion dollars. Plus, it's not exactly like her character was some irreplaceable part of the story...

Anyway, another headline buried in here is the fact that, apparently, none of the Justice League cast will return for the James Gunn DC universe.

This is the best news we could as for as fans of good movies. The remains of the snyderverse need to wither off and die so that we can get a fresh start. Rest in piss.
