An Anonymous Pac-12 Coach Is Accusing Deion Of Having Shedeur Sanders Take Sacks So His Completion Percentage Doesn't Go Down

𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚: An anonymous PAC-12 coach says that Shedeur Sanders is taking sacks so his completion percentage doesn’t get affected, via @TheAthleticNFL

He accuses Shedeur of “stat padding”

“I think they want to rack up some stats for Shedeur. He really holds on to the ball for a long time. I think he takes sacks because he doesn’t want to affect his completion percentage.”

Let me start off by saying what a pussy move by whatever anonymous coach this was. Say it with your chest! Maybe they didn't want to end up being one of the people "doubting" Colorado or whatever their mantra was the first few weeks of the season. Second, this might be generational level of hating. I don't think a ton of the Colorado hate is exactly how they paint it in their heads, especially not now 2 losses later and the hype down a bit, but this would qualify.

You don't have to know an ounce of ball to know this couldn't be true. Take a sack to ruin a drive just to keep your 7th in the nation completing percentage is a hilarious spinzone. Risk injury with a bunch of 250 pound linemen coming for your head while you're draft eligible just so you can maybe hold that at 70 percent instead of 65. College football media man. Can we just point it to the fact that Colorado's offensive line sucks and leaves him having to try to make something out of nothing? If they don't have a story these days, they'll make one.

It would be all-time if it turns out it were Dan Lanning just taking shots from the throne. The real answer is that it's probably some no-name coach who knew this would generate some clicks, and then every blog from Tacoma to Tallahassee would write about it. That's where we're at, and get ready for about 20 more Colorado blogs today after they beat a weak Arizona St program. WE COMING!
