This Ole Miss Fan Thought It Was A Good Idea To Scream "Fuck You" At An LSU Player While Storming The Field Last Saturday Before Getting Leveled

It was fucking madness in Ole Miss last Saturday as the rebels upset LSU in an absolute shootout. It was one of the better college football games of the year. I may be a little bit biased there. I love points, but at the same time, it’s hard to deny that it was a signature win for Lane Kiffin and another heartbreaking loss for an LSU team that is feeling a lot of heat following their second loss in a season that began with high expectations.

I don’t understand the discourse surrounding storming the field. You’re only in college for so long. It was a big win for Ole Miss. I have no issue with anyone storming the field. It didn’t bother me when Colorado did it a few weeks ago. I don’t buy the whole “act like you’ve been there“ shit. It’s a big win. Celebrate however you want. With that comes repercussions, such as getting dropped on said field you stormed.

I believe the SEC has tried to outlaw storming the field for a while. If that were the case, I feel like they would probably be better off having some tighter security instead of having Paul Blart single-handedly trying to defend a sea of drunk college kids storming the field.

I'm not a violent person. I don't encourage fighting in any capacity. It's easy for me to say that when I'm 5 foot 7 and 140-something pounds. Even if I tried to land a punch on somebody, I don't think my baby hands would make much of an impact.

But at the same time, if somebody is running up to you and screams "Fuck you" right in your face, I would argue it's almost natural instinct to at least shove them back. I don't know who this LSU player is. I'm not going to condone shoving a guy to the ground, but I do understand it. This guy busted his ass for 60 minutes of football and came up short. The last thing he needs is a business major running up to them and telling them how much he sucks.

I don’t believe a moment like this indicates that Brian Kelly has somehow lost control of his locker room. His defense sucks, that’s why LSU is losing. Even though I have no issue with fans storming the field, it is dangerous. This is not the first time there’s been an incident like this. But by all accounts, nobody got hurt, so I just kind of shrug it off and chuckle at it. SEC football fans are a different breed.
