Am I Supposed To Be Scared Of Team Europe Just Because The Internet Is Freaking Out About Viktor Hovland Hitting An Asterisk Hole-In-One Today?

I've seen this everywhere this morning. Viktor Hovland hitting a hole-in-one on a par 4. Pretty nice. Except one small detail:

That's a birdie where I come from and that's playing by golf rules. So no, I'm not scared of Europe just because Viktor Hovland holed out from the tee on a par-4 from the tee box. Impressive shot. Can't take that away from him. But we gotta calm down with the hole-in-one talk. You don't get to claim a hole-in-one unless it's your first and only shot. Pretty simple. Don't even think it's a debate, including in practice rounds.

Now if you ask me if I'm scared of Europe because of home course advantage? Absolutely. Am I scared of Europe because they have 2 of the 3 best golfers in the world? Sure. That makes sense. The core that we knew from Europe is gone. No more Poulter, Westwood, Casey or Sergio. In comes guys like Aberg (who is an absolute star).

Here's what I do know. Trust in the process because ZJ is up to something with these morning pairings:

No JT/ Spieth team. No Brooks out early. That 4th match though? Let me insert the Zach Johnson meme from this morning here:

Get us to real golf now. Nothing like some 1:30am golf with Sam Burns and that USA mullet flowing on the first tee. 14.5-13.5, need it.
