The Eagles' Tush Push Has Been Rebranded As "The Brotherly Shove" And The Name Has Received Nick Sirianni's Stamp Of Approval

And since its inception, the Eagles loading up at the line and just barreling their way through their opponent to pick up a yard or two had one--the Tush Push. It's funny, it rhymes, it gets the job done. Everyone would have been perfectly content with the "tush push" for the rest of times.
But sometimes life finds a way. It's absolute constant evolution. And while the "tush push" was certainly good enough, that doesn't mean that there couldn't be something out there that is great. That's when the world was introduced to "The Brotherly Shove".
I always have, and always will be a complete sucker for a play on words. Nothing gets me all jazzed up quite like the perfect pun. Tush Push is just so generic. I don't want to be living in a world 50 years down the road where there becomes any sort of debate around who started the "tush push". But the Brotherly Shove? Well that is uniquely Philly. That puts the stamp on it once and for all. And it also gets Nick Sirianni's stamp of approval.
He has no interest in Tush Push. Couldn't possibly care less about that name. But just look at the way his face lights up upon hearing Brotherly Shove. It's clear that's the one. And while Nick has clearly had no issue with calling that play whenever the situation calls for it, this sick son of a bitch is going to get even crazier with it now that he has a name he likes. Guy might just mess around and call Brotherly Shove on first down since he loves it so much.
