You Aren't A True Sports Fan Unless You Get Married At A Tailgate Before Your Team Plays Like These Two Steelers Superfans Did On Monday Night

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette-  A pair of diehard Steelers enthusiasts exchanged vows and wed in the heart of a tailgate. Post-Gazette news partner KDKA reports Paula Spruel and Kevin Eash were married as the Steelers prepared to face off against the Browns at Acrisure Stadium. Mr. Eash grew up in Johnstown and works in the oil and gas industry while Ms. Spruel is a preschool teacher and grew up in Norfolk, Va., KDKA reports

Honestly, how can you not be romantic about football after Paula and Kevin...excuse me Steeler Princess and Steeler Warrior tie the knot? They are just two (I cannot emphasis this word enough) crazy kids that found love in a parking lot and are trying to make it in this wild weird world that we live in.

I know some people prefer a more traditional path to reach the holy sacrament of marriage such as meeting at a bar, having your wedding at a church, and hosting the reception at a catering hall. But a tailgate may be the happiest place on Earth that is a one stop shop that has the booze/boozers from the bar, the incredible food of the catering hall without the exorbitant prices, and Steeler Princess made sure that all the important religious figures were there.

The pair even came up with a game plan to involve other diehard characters like Yinzer Pope and Steelers Jesus. KDKA reports Mr. Eash reached out to Yinzer Pope to do the wedding and Steelers Jesus would walk Ms. Spruel down the aisle.

If there is a wedding in the Greater Pittsburgh Area, you bet your bottom communion dollar that these two are going to be a part of it.

Nothing like being walked down the aisle by a dude wearing a crown of thorns and Teva sandals!

I suppose you can make a case that marrying a fellow superfan isn't a great idea considering those Monday mornings after a loss feel like a funeral since there is nobody in the house that can react even remotely rationally to a sports team losing a game. But is a life not being lived to the extremes even worth living? Yeah, I got deep on your ass with that one but I think it checks out since I can't even fathom what the wedding night for two superfans is like after beating a division rival on Monday Night Football. Plus it's not like Steelers fans have to deal with that much adversity considering they've been doing shit like this to AFC North teams forever.

So congrats to the happy couple and may they live a happy life of holy matrimony togther that is filled with Steelers wins they will never forget and Steelers tailgates they will never remember. Oh yeah and if they have kids, I pray that none of them become Ravens fans because that is a fate that could tear a family like this apart (jk, Steeler Princess and Steeler Warrior would disown that kid sooooo quickly).
