It is so crazy how fast teams give up on some of the best players to play the game. I get why some of these teams like the 49ers and Giants said no because of money problems. DeAndre isn't cheap so this does effect teams' salary caps. But a team like the Cowboys could have used him as a 1b receiver. I also feel like the Lions could have definitely used him because of their young wide receiver corps. I don't think people realize what that experience does in a locker room. Oh and also don't forget he can still give you a 1,000 yard season with a quarterback that can get him the ball.
People also don't realize that he didn't have the best quarterbacks throwing to him during his career. Matt Schaub, Case Keenum, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Ryan Mallet, Brian Hoyer, TJ Yates, Brandon Weeden, Brock Osweiler, Tom Savage, Deshaun Watson, Aj McCarron, and Kyler Murray. Pretty much every single backup you ever have heard of is in that list along with some legit QBs and he still has been one of the most elite receivers during his career. His one comment was he thinks he made the right decision about going to the Titans but I think that was the only option he had. It might work out thought because I actually think he has a year that reminds everyone that they missed out on him on a team that has a chance to win their division.
