I'm Putting My Faith In San Francisco, Tampa Bay, And Ian Happ For Today's Gambling Picks

RECORD

63-99-2 (+2.8 units)

We had another solid day yesterday. We did not hit with a Dansby Swanson home run prop. I still don’t mind taking a flyer out on him. He had great numbers against Corbin Burnes. We won our other two bets with relative ease. The Phillies just continue to club the baseball against the Los Angeles Angels. With each passing day, that team appears to be re-capturing the magic that made the National League champions a year ago. The Houston Astros also took care of business against the Boston Red Sox. That’s another team that seems like they’re heating up at the right time. After going through a brutal, cold stretch, we’ve bounced back with some pretty good days recently. It’s all about the power of belief. I continue to believe in the system, and it’s done good things for me. Let’s take a look at today’s picks.

Giants -1.5 (+130) against the Reds

I really like Logan Webb a lot as a pitcher. I feel like I’ve bet on him a fair amount this year, and I’ve been wrong every time. As much as I like him, this bet has more to do with the team they’re playing. The Cincinnati Reds had a great run during the summer. There was a moment in which I thought they could legitimately win the National League Central. But their pitching has taken it on the chin one too many times. I think many of their fans viewed Hunter Greene‘s return from the injured list as their potential salvation. That has not been the case. The Giants are a team that lacks star power, but when they play at home, their pitching can compete with anybody. I like the value of getting them at plus money.

Rays -1.5 (+145) against the Marlins

I wanted to buy into the Miami Marlins this year. They have several players that I really like, and I think they have a solid pitching staff and a bright future. They’re one of those teams that is good, but they just don’t have the horses to get through the marathon that is a 162-game baseball season. As critical as I’ve been of the Tampa Bay Rays at points in the second half, they just continue to get it done, and Zach Eflin has been a big reason for that. In typical Tampa fashion, they found a pitcher that many people believed was an afterthought, and they’ve turned him into a stud. The Rays record with him on the mound is 17–8 this year. After tonight, hopefully, it’ll be 18–8.

Ian Happ to homer (+650) against the Brewers

Going back to Chicago for today’s home run prop. Ian Happ has been good to me this year. We’ve hit multiple times when I have bet him to go deep, and I am putting my faith in him again. He has 35 career plate appearances against Brandon Woodruff. His batting average is low, but the power numbers are fantastic. He’s recorded seven hits, and three of them have been home runs. Considering the history, I am a bit shocked that the +650. I had to jump on it.
