'You Don't Leave JT At Home' - Zach Johnson, Correctly Bringing Justin Thomas To The Ryder Cup So We Can Finally Win In Europe

There it is. No more debate about Justin Thomas, Sam Burns or if you bring a Cam Young, Keegan Bradley or Lucas Glover. Zach Johnson went with JT because as he says - you don't leave a JT at home. I know he's sucked this year. I know he's been awful and all that.

But this is the Ryder Cup. This isn't who has played the best golf this year outside of the auto qualifiers. JT has been fucking awesome at the Ryder Cup/Presidents Cup. Plus, we always hear how Europe had success by keeping a team together and building something there. We're doing that with JT. No one is arguing whether or not he's the most in form or anything like that, it's about winning the Ryder Cup.

Then there's Sam Burns. He won the match play event this year and has been fine. No problems with either of these selections, even if people really didn't want Justin Thomas there. We still don't know Europe's full team, but they are for sure better than whatever they sent last time out. That was a bloodbath in Wisconsin. We also know there's course manipulation more than ever to try and get that home field advantage. Having a guy like JT with some experience could/should help there.

The rest of the guys all make sense. Spieth, Brooks and Morikawa were all no-brainers. They are guys from the last Ryder Cup, which very well may have been the best team we ever assembled. Then there's Rickie. Shout out Rickie, my personal favorite golfer on tour right now - until Tiger comes back. Dude was left for dead a year ago and he's turned himself into a guy who is winning events, finishing top-20s and now on the Ryder Cup team. Love that we have this guy back

Luckily for him he'll have Allison Stokke in the picture this year

All I know is we gotta get a win in Europe. It's been far too long. We've had too many disasters across the sea and that's gotta stop. This is a solid ass team that's set up for the course in Italy and to compete with a decent Europe team. The Ryder Cup is my favorite event in golf and one of my favorite events in sports. Get us to October, start drawing up the pairings and for the love of all things holy beat the shit out of Europe. These are our guys. You either cheer for them or go cheer for Europe like a bum.
