We Started Our Week With A Strong Gambling Day Yesterday

RECORD

61-98-2 (+1.5 units)

We had ourselves a good start to the week yesterday. We had a 2-1 day. Ha Seong Kim failed to go deep for the Padres. I still like the logic behind that bet. I think betting on any player to go deep against Adam Wainwright at this point is not a bad idea. We cashed our other two bets. The Phillies took care of business against the Angels, in large part, because Trea Turner is a man possessed right now. Betting against the Los Angeles Angels has been a very good idea for me. While they fell behind early, the Astros ended up coming back and covering the run line with ease. We are up over ten units in August. I hope we can continue rolling this week and finish this month strong. Let's take a look at today's picks.

Phillies -1.5 (+120) against the Angels

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Betting against the Los Angeles Angels is becoming one of my favorite past times. Michael Lorenzen is pitching for the Phillies. He has been pretty shaky ever since throwing his no-hitter, but he is still capable of pitching some pretty darn good baseball. He throws a lot of strikes and is usually good for a fair amount of innings. The same cannot be said about Tyler Anderson, who has been a mess for the Angels this year. He has been a shell of the pitcher who made an All-Star team for the Dodgers a year ago. I am really starting to buy into the Philadelphia Phillies. It seems like they're rounding into form. I feel like there won't be many more opportunities to get them at plus money on the run line. I'm taking advantage of it while I can.

Astros ML (+105) against the Red Sox

Man, I feel like I'm becoming very predictable with my picks. I said last night that getting the Astros as underdogs is an opportunity I love taking. They kept up their end of the bargain last night, and I expect him to do it again this evening. Houston has looked like the defending world champions over the last three games. The offense is starting to heat up. I genuinely do like the Red Sox office. I don't believe that organization is that far away from being ultra-competitive. But I foresee a lot of runs in this game, and if that's the case, I will favor Houston. Boston's offense is good, but their office can out-slug anybody when Houston is at their best. I think that's what's going to happen tonight.

Dansby Swanson to homer (+500) against the Brewers

I feel like Dansby is due. There were some very intriguing home run props that I could have gone with tonight, but none of them provided the value that this one does. The Milwaukee Brewers are on a roll right now, and they have Corbin Burns on the mound for them. When Brunes is at his best, he is a Cy Young caliber pitcher. His kryptonite has been Dansby Swanson. In 13 career plate appearances, Dansby has seven hits, including two home runs. The ball has a tendency to fly out of Wrigley Field. At +500, I really like the value with Dansby to go deep here.
