WATCH: The Chargers Surprised Antonio Gates With His Charger's HOF Induction And Got The Tears Rolling

It's hard not to love Antonio Gates. An undersized basketball player from Detroit that turns an NFL workout into one of the greatest careers in football history for the position. Here's Gates by the numbers:

- The Chargers record for most career receptions (955)

- The Chargers record for most career receiving yards (11,841)

- The Chargers record for most career receiving touchdowns (116)

- 1st all-time in TE touchdowns

- 3rd all-time in TE yards (Gonzalez, Witten)

- 4th all-time in TE games played (Gonzalez, Witten and Marcedes Lewis)

- 3rd all-time in TE receptions (Gonzalez, Witten)

- 3x AP first-team all-pro

- 2x AP second-team all-pro

- 8x pro-bowl

Gates and Rivers were also the most prolific QB-TE combo in history, holding the record with 774 receptions for 9,543 yards and 95 touchdowns (Mahomes and Kelce will destroy all of these eventually).

Anyway, I'm a sucker for seeing the guys that made my sports childhood special tear up. Him, LT and Rivers were those dudes and I can't wait for Rivers to run me through this whole thing all over again. Not to go off-topic but he has been seriously missing from the team post-retirement. I know he's busy coaching high school and raising 500 kids, but c;mon Philly!
