Britney Spears Is Filing For Divorce After 14 Months of Marriage

Page Six - Britney Spears and her husband, Sam Asghari, have separated amid allegations of infidelity, according to TMZ.

Sources told the outlet Wednesday that Asghari allegedly confronted Spears last week over rumors that she had cheated on him.

While it’s unclear whether or not there is any validity to the claims, it allegedly resulted in a massive argument between the two.

Sometimes you gotta write a blog to get your clicks up. Even if you want to go across the street with your co-workers to grab a beer at 5pm, sometimes you gotta write a couple paragraphs and embed a few tweets to you can go home with your head held high, knowing that you did the world some good by blogging a few hundred words of nothing about a pop star who you only adjacently care about.

But in regards to Britney... what a shame. I really thought these kids were going to make it. I thought if any unhinged woman who posts naked pictures onto Instagram once a week was going to have a marriage last forever, it would have been Britney.

Of course there are absolutely zero details on these cheating allegations. But honestly, as many jokes as I might have made about Britney Spears, I'm fully Team Britney. If you're this Sam Asghari fella, and you marry Britney Spears, you know you're in for a wild ride. She's had a tough life. You gotta grant her the occasional cheat.

When I first saw the headline, my first thought was "$$$$" because I had just seen that Britney Spears is about to get PAID by Oprah to go on her show and give a tell-all about her conservatorship, and all the horrible things her shitty family did to her. And I thought, "Well good for Britney for getting out of this marriage before her husband takes half of that payday."

The Sun - "Significant financial sums" have reportedly been offered to Britney for her to talk on camera about her life journey before her memoir drops - including a rumored offer from Oprah Winfrey, 69 - according to the source.

But that's all for not. I was happy to learn that Britney Spears and her husband have signed an iron clad prenup, so that Britney's financial assets are fully protected.

I'm not sure what to think about her husband. There have been some allegations that they had a volatile relationship, but on the other hand he's seemed to have her back at every turn.

In May, TMZ released a documentary about Spears’ life and alleged that the pair’s marriage was already in “deep trouble.”

The outlet further claimed the “Sometimes” singer has gotten physical with her husband during screaming matches and that he no longer spends much time at their house.

However, Asghari was quick to slam the “disgusting” doc — and those involved in its creation — for trying to use Spears “as a money-making machine.”

“I found it absolutely disgusting for the people who were in her life when she didn’t have a voice, they went and told her story like it was theirs,” Asghari began in a video posted to his Instagram Story.

Asghari specifically took aim at the outlet for putting Britney “under the microscope” when she is finally free from her conservatorship.

Just days later, Spears also seemingly tried to shut down speculation that they were having marital issues by posting an Instagram video of the pair kissing.

So maybe this isn't much of a surprise. It sucks what has happened to Britney over the course of her life. It's a situation that nobody seems to really know much about, but every time you hear something you think, "Oh that sounds bad." We'll have to see if any more details come out about who exactly Britney Spears was cheating on her husband with (if that's even true).

The last thing I will say is that I am now firmly of the opinion that if anybody ever approaches you about signing a conservatorship, then you should punch them in the teeth and run 100 miles in the opposite direction. The only people I've ever heard of having conservatorships are Britney Spears and Michael Oher, and both of their lives seem like nightmares right now. They're bad news people.
